Slow Flow
Created as part of Hatchery Artists She’d 2 exhibition hosted by Artcore, Derby, Slow Flow is what will be forever called ‘a lockdown work’. Having the time now to observe closely, to watch and wait, to see what would happen. Living on the River Soar, there are constant minute changes due to different environmental happenings that might occur higher up the river but impact lower down. This feather just blew down into the water. The intense sunshine created mirrors of the vegetation above whilst tiny winds at water level blew the fallen feather amongst the reeds and water lilies.
