…….waits for no-one reflects on ideas of time through the sound ambiance of its communication in the endless ticking and chiming and cuckooing of clocks. And, meanwhile, the plants grow according to their nature, to their environment. This rhythm, which can be influenced to a certain extent, is the plants’ own. They may grow or die but either way, they are left in place as a reminder of the passing of time. Amidst these multitudinous reminders of passing time, the presence of the swing invites the viewer to create their own rhythm through the action of swinging.
